Theodore Roosevelt speech to highlight Tule Lake Festival

The Tule Lake Migratory Bird Festival on May 24th will feature a rousing speech by Theodore Roosevelt actor Keith McGough! Appearing in the persona, dress and speaking style of the 26th President of the United States, Mr. McGough has enthralled audiences across the United States with his impassioned representation of one of America's most popular Presidents. The speech, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30, is only one of many events scheduled during this one-day family festival.

The Tule Lake Migratory Bird Festival, now in its second year, will be held in the new Tulelake Community Center known as the Honker. All events are free and open to the public. Events include a 10 kilometer run, tours of nearby wildlife refuges, art and photography displays, wildlife talks, exhibits, vendor booths, many on-hands programs for kids, food, music and much more. Special events at this year's festival will include a wildlife art and photography show featuring many local artists and a ribbon cutting for the new Klamath Basin Birding Trail following the Roosevelt speech. The festival is sponsored by the Tulelake Community partnership and other local agencies and organizations.
